I've just (as in 2 minutes ago) finished
mounting my first image out of the TL120-1
(Chinese MF stereo camera). Oh wow.

This was a hand-held snap-shot (image 6 of roll 1)
but it's sharper than anything my Sputnik has
ever produced and looks spiffy.

Please excuse me now. I have to go back
and mount some more images.

Do you hand-hold the Sputnik too?

Try some shots off a tripod. (In each)

I've been known to hand-hold my Sputnik when
that's what the situation requires. That
said, the majority of my Sputnik and
Rolleidoscop shots are from tripod mounted
cameras.

My point in the above statement is that the
TL120 has produced, in its first roll of film,
images that surpass all of my Sputnik images
in terms of edge-to-edge sharpness and focus.

This was done without the photographer having to:
++ use conversion charts to convert between
"marked shutter speed/actual speed"
++ disassemble the lenses and install damping
rings behind the front elements
++ tape the back of the camera closed after
loading film
++ install a shimming washer under the take-up
spool to correctly align it with the
supply spool
All I did was load the film, frame, shoot advance.

FWIW, image 3 on this roll was a tripod shot
and it looks spiffy, too. I have more tripod
shots coming in rolls 2-5 (currently in
California for processing).

That's probably the main reason I am looking forward to this camera,
more reliable (consistent shutter speeds) results hopefully, and not
being dependent on a tripod. And probably quicker when hand metering,
instead of my odd Rolleidoscop apertures and approximate but not
consistent shutter speeds.
