Hi John and Mike

An example- How can 3 lp/mm =.098mm, as Mike Davis has suggeted ?

Best regards,

You, too, have fallen victim to my failure to emphasize that the desired
resolution figures I used are the resolutions we hope to see after
magnification in the viewer.

The reciprocal of 3 lp/mm is 0.333mm, but if we divide that by 3.39 (the
magnification imposed by a 75mm viewer focused at Infinity), we get 0.098mm.

So, a desired resolution of 3 lp/mm, as seen in the viewer after
magnification, requires an on-film maximum permissible CoC diameter of 0.098mm.
