I finally gave up waiting for some American distributor to take it on,
so I took matters in my own hands and ordered directly from Japan. I
have 20 rolls of the new film arriving within the next week or so to
Canada.

If you haven't heard, this is the "revolutionary new slide film that
has high speeds and super fine grain.

From Fuji's website:

"Fujichrome Provia 400X Professional provides photographers with these
outstanding features:

Brilliant color reproduction-Fujichrome Provia 400X Professional
provides new levels of color saturation in ISO 400 class films.

Ultra-fine grain-Fujichrome Provia 400X Professional provides
exceptionally fine grain for a 400 speed color reversal film (RMS: 11).

Rich tone reproduction-Fujichrome Provia 400X Professional produces
smooth and continuous gradation from highlights to shadows, providing
pleasing skin tone reproduction.

Improved color image stability-Fujichrome Provia 400X incorporates
new-generation color couplers for significantly improved long-term
color image stability (anti-fading characteristics) compared to
current 400 speed color reversal films."

It appears it will not be available for some time in North America, as
B&H and others will not buy it until they deplete their current
Provia 400 stock. Does anyone want to sample a roll? It is not cheap,
but if anyone wants to try it send me an email and I will reserve you
a roll and mail it on. Contact me offlist for details.

BTW, anybody who posts "I do not believe it is possible to achieve RMS
11...." will be looking for another list!!!

Sam,
I would like to try a roll for sure. Would like 3 if you can part
with them. I was invited to a Wedding in July and that would work out
real nice for some inside shots. I am surprised you were able to find
a source as I have been looking since last summer. Thanks !!!!
