Subject: New medium format camera and film winder

I just purchased one of these cameras from China and I was wondering
what other folks experience has been with the film winder.

I'm wondering if mine is functioning properly or not. It seems that
this camera wants you to take full strokes with the winder and if you
don't you get lots of little short strokes. I'm used to my old 35mm
camera where I could pump it and it would wind as much as as cranked,
but this new camera goes slack for much of the stroke if I don't start
from a closed psotion and go the full length of the stroke.

The camera works but it makes winding between shots more painful than
it should be.

thanks

Yes, that is the way winder works. I posted this on December 29th:

That being said it does work and you just need to develop a rhythym: full
complete strokes ubtil you see the three dots and then one or two shorter
strokes to get to the number.
