Does anyone have a stereo mounting gauge for mounting MF slides which they can post?

I realize that it's a lot easier to eyeball than a 35MM slide, but I am new to medium format,
and I figure that every little bit helps!

Thanks, in advance.

I think you'd better define a little more closely
what you mean by a "mounting gauge"

Are you looking for something with

A) horizontal lines to help you position your
chips in the vertical direction?

B) vertical lines to help you position your
images behind the window?

C) both horizontal and vertical lines for use
in an "active mounter" to help position your
images in real-time?

Mike Kersenbrock has published a grid/gauge on
his web site at:
http://www.photo-3d.com/
I really appreciate Mike making this available for
us and I used mine for a long time before I found
something even better.

Paul Talbot provided a "window screen" on his
web site but I can't find it right now :(
He provided it to me and I've re-worked it to better
suit my needs. I use it to position my slides in
real-time with a mounting jig I built.

If this is something you are after, I'll try
to find my computer file for the "window screen"
and provide it to you.

If all you want to do is check your near points
to ensure that everything is behind the window,
I used to do that with a second mount. I'd lay
it on top of my mounted view and align one vertical
edge of one aperture with the near point of one
image. When the same near-point in the other image
lined up with the same edge of the other aperture,
I knew it was at the window.

I posted a link to one I made about four or five years ago, here's
quoting myself :

I'll eventually provide links to MF things on my
web page, but for now, here are a couple links that exist
only "here":

The mounting gauge file:

The gauge mounted on a light-box above a glued plastic physical
"reference" along the lower edge:

One of the flat-style light panels would probably be much nicer,
but this is one I've had around for quite a while, so it's being
put into use. :-)

Ones I had printed actually measured pretty much right on the money.
Surprising
how accurate a printer can be. :-)

I think I also made a "combo" MF/35mm one, but don't have a link handy
(someday I hope to have time to work on my own website again.... sigh).

Mike,
I've been using your mounting gauge for some time now and it's been a
great help - thank you. John Thurston sent me one along with a
correspondence and it's the best one I've used so far. What I'd like
to see is a contraption made that would hold both the 3D Stereo mount
and a gauge together allowing you to slide the gauge back and forth
without messing up the vertical alignment with the mount- kind of like
a slide rule (remember them).

Do you have a direct ink or a better description of where this is
linked - I don't find it directly referenced on this page and I don't
really want to look through the whole site.

thanks

I will quote Mike who wrote on Jan 16th in this group...

Hello,

Does anyone have a Mirscope in the LA area? I'm very interested in
seeing one in person.

Thanks.
