I'm surprised no one has brought this up yet:

Anyone know anything about it?

I saw that camera yesterday... sure wish I had $7,000 to check it out.

Somebody elsewhere wondered and got me to wonder, too -- with three
in existence, how can they say the usual selling price is $14,000?
Was that the price that whoever made them put on the camera or just
the price that one of them sold for once?

Nope. Not here. If I had $7,000 to spend on camera
gear I'd be looking at a second TL-120 and some 50mm
lenses to fit to it.

I wish there were better shots of the lensboard. It looks like
something that could be easily hacked together. I can't see how the
shutters are linked. There is a focus, but probably scale focussed.
The value is all in the lenses.

I said 50 'cause I haven't really studied which lenses are
available with what flange-film distances and etc. 55 would
be fine :)

The most important question was voiced earlier: How are the shutters
linked ? Those are mechanical shutters. In the first place, they are
not likely to be matched at all speeds - meaning possible uneven
exposures.

If they are linked by mechanical means, they may not be perfectly
instantaneous i.e.: problems with moving subjects or flash sync.

Some years ago, I was part of a project to build seven similar types
of cameras. We had the shutters matched by the manufacturer. Even
then, not all speeds are perfect and could theorically go out of sync
over the years. For releasing the shutters, we used an electro
mechanical system that was extremely precise and worked with flash at
all speeds.

It does not look like there is anything similar on the eBay camera.
