Hi All,

I finally received my shipment of medium format optical sleeves. These
are for protecting and viewing Spicer-style and Chinese "SS" stereo
mounts.

I will be contacting all on the reserved list tonight.

Hello

So what do people store their 3D MF slides in? Any ideal containers?

I found that cornish icecream was perfect size for Realist slides.

Light Impressions <http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/> sells a
storage box for postcard collectors that's the right size for
cardboard mount MF3D slides.

They also have a stereocard storage box and sleeves. The box is a bit
big for MF3D slides, and the sleves are both big and loose since they
are meant only for storage, not for viewing. I used those sleeves
unti lRocky Mountain Memories (and now Sam) started selling the fitted
sleeves for the cardboard mounts.

I use 3x5 sleeves from 20 Century Plastics in 3-ring
binders. The pockets are too large, though, and I've been
known to dump slides if the binder is upside-down :(

In reality, I have most of my slides in zip-lock baggies
tossed here and there around my office.

I have always been storing my 35mm stereo slides in Pro-Latch
(brand) fishing tackle boxes. These have adjustable inner
compartments that you can make whatever size you want. I recently
found a larger version of these that just takes the MF slides. Each
of the eight inner compartments holds about ten slides. You have to
be careful with these as there are some sharp edges inside the
boxes. A little filing and trimming easily takes care of that.
Down here, they are available at most K mart stores.

Michael's craft stores sell a variety of ornamental wooden boxes that
are felt lined. They are usually covered in some textured imitation
leather with brass latches and feet. Really cool looking.

I thought everyone was using the cheap plastic 3X5 index card
boxes like those made by "eldon". (~$1 US) Most office supply
stores have them. MF views are a little bigger than 3"X5" but
not much and the slides fit easily. No problem getting 30
cardboard slides in a box. The boxes may be wide enough for the
larger plastic mounts (I don't have any so can't say for sure.)
but it will be close and you won't get as many in because the
plastic mounts are thicker.

I did buy a more expensive wood 3"X5" box that is too small
inside for the cardboard MF slide mounts so don't do that. Take
a mount with you when you go to the office supply store.

hello all,

What I store my MF slides in is a photo paper box that
holds 250 5"x7" sheets of paper. When empty it holds a
plethora of slides in the super cool plastic sleeve
that Sam sells.
