Hi

Just hand another idea, besides flocking which I'll do this weekend.

Basically, just a black card held over the frount of the camera - like they use
on movie cameras. Will put the lenses in the shade.

Anyone try this?

Cheers

I frequently use my hat for this purpose as I never
got around to building a lens hood for my Sputnik
(and I'm never without a hat).

That said, you should be aware that reflections
from buildings, windows, concrete walkways, sand,
ice, snow and water can cause light to "attack"
your lenses from directions other than above.
A hat/hand/card held between the sun and your lenses
is better than nothing but I don't consider it an
equal replacement for a lens hood.
