Anybody else using these (obtained from Sam). They seem nice for
protecting the film, but seem to take the edge off the hand-viewing
experience a little.

Yes, I am using them on all my MF slides. No sleeve will be as good as
looking at the film unobstructed, but these are by far the best I have
ever seen.

If I am viewing alone or if I have a slide in a viewer that can't be
removed I would take them out of the sleeve. But if my images are being
handled even by the most careful person they will be in the sleeves.

In a SaturnSlide viewer, the slide is pushed up a little too high so that the top edge is cut off a little.  I haven't looked into modifying the viewer to handle this problem, but I suppose you could file the top edge of the wood frame.

I have one of Sam's Regal viewers which doesn't have this problem.  So, I have no need to modify the SaturnSlide.
