Subject: What's the Average Viewer Hieght?

I'm looking for a consensus as to what the average viewing height is
for a floor model viewer. Those of you who have a Chinese viewer, how
high off the floor are the lenses?

I have put one panel for the show display at 58" and one at 59". I
need to determine if the third should be 57" or 60". My daughter
(who's eyes are 52" off the floor) can view 58" comfortably by tilting
the stage upward. My eyes are 65" off the ground and can view OK
straight on or slightly tilted downwards.

Feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

Sorry Sam, I won't be of much help as my Chinese viewers are of the
adjustable height type. I can say that I have locked them into
position at 52 inches and most folks can sit on the barstool (refer
photos section) and see into it without having to adjust the height of
the stool. They seem able to pivot from the waist and adjust where
they sit on the stool, whether it be near the front edge of it or with
their rear end well back on the stool. With pivoting from the waist to
adjust their own height, taller paople can just prop themselves up
with their hands on their knees. Children of the height of your
daughter could still stand in the gap between the stool and the viewer.

Average viewing heights will largely depend on where in the world a
viewer is being used. The Chinese seem to be in general quite short
on average. I dare say the average American height will be
considerably more.

regards,

Harry.
