I'm still running on my original set of batteries and my measurements
and estimates indicate to me that the camera _does_ draw current while
the shutter is open but that a set of batteries should be able to keep
the shutter open for 6 or 7 hours. I estimate the meter could be run
for several days before depleting a set of batteries.
Does someone with a newer camera than mine (which looks like its from
the first production run as it has no serial number) wanna re-do my
measurements and see :
A) In what states the camera draws power
B) How many amps it draws in those states
It could save a lot of time, worry and speculation for someone else.
[On my list of things to do is to buy a variable DC power supply and
see how the camera performs at different input voltages. Too many
projects, too little time.]
