Seems my luck isn't getting any better this week. I spent Canada Day
climbing to the top of Mt Allen (10761 feet). Going up wasn't that
bad, but I really paid the price going down. My knee joints gave in,
perhaps because of hauling all the damn camera equipment (TL-120 with
55 and 80mm lenses PLUS a wooden tripod). But the REALLY bad knews was
that I mistook Provia 400X for 100, and overexposed it two stops. It
was the only roll I took from the peak. I have not had it processed yet.

Has anybody had any results from pull processing 400X two stops?

I abandoned film-based stereography years ago partly because I discovered a
strange biological fact: as I got older, my RBT stereo
camera, twin zooms, filters, extra film, and flash had somehow gained weight
(even though, aside from one roll of film at a time, I never
over-fed the beast).

In order to preserve what's left of my strength I now use one high-res point
and shoot digital camera with a TriDelta beam-splitter but still enjoy
looking at, but not creating MFs.
I hope that someday my digital cameras don't also get fat !!! :-)

I've only performed push, and not pull processing. With that I got good
results. I think that things will work out fairly well for you, especially
with shots where the lighting
was somewhat dim. Please report back to us about your results.

Marshall

I'm sure it's occurred to you that *you* could overexpose a test roll by 2 stops and pull that one. But the price of 400x + the price of the pulling... you're right. Your luck isn't getting any better, is it? :^)

I hope you're able to save your pictures, Sam.
