I just received my second batch of 120 processed E-6 from "Denver
Digital". I have only sent them 120 size E-6 film (now 11 rolls
total). This was film sent from Wyoming while I was working my
way back home from NSA. The 5 rolls were packaged the same as
last time; in sleeves and cut every 3rd frame and sandwiched
between sheets of cardboard. They are flat and ready for
mounting as they arrive, no need to reverse roll and/or hang. I
would have rather had them cut in frames of 2 or 4 to keep pairs
together until mounted but I do like it flat and not rolled.
Each roll is packages separately so the rolls don't get mixed
with each other.

I did not specify "DO NOT CUT" and never do with 120 film, only
with my 35mm film.

At $4.50 per roll (when sending 3 or more rolls at a time) with
them paying postage both ways, it is less than 1/2 of what it
would cost if sent to A&I. With 11 rolls now processed by
"Denver Digital", I know I will be sending them more.

Is that for 120 film or just 35mm E-6? I have heard that many
Wal-Marts have recently stopped doing uncut/unmounted 35mm E-6. I
also have not heard of people using Wal-Mart or Fuji for 120 film in
the recent past, if that is what you are saying.

I understand that Fuji has closed their processing facility in
Arizona were the mailers used to go, and now Fuji mailers go to
Dwaynes in Parsons Kansas (via a PO Box) for processing. If you are
getting slide film back in 3-4 d, my guess is that is going to some
local or regional lab. Where are you located, geographically? -Linda

I checked at my local Wal-Mart (Harrisonburg VA) yesterday. The
man at the photo dept said that they send their slide processing
to somewhere in Maryland. He thought it could be had un-cut if
requested but couldn't say for sure. Cost to me would be $4.88
for a 36 exp roll. ($3.88 for a 24 exp) I asked about 120 film
(E-6) and he said he didn't think they process it, it isn't on
his price list. Wal-Mart doesn't sell slide film either. Your
Wal-Mart may differ.

As of right now, DenverDigitalImagingCenter is the least
expensive place to get 120 E-6 film developed that I know about.
With my sample of 11 rolls, they did a great job. Color is true,
no scratches, and no dust. Such quality at $4.50/roll (they pay
postage both ways) of 120 in quantities of 3 rolls or more is
hard to beat. (If you can get a better deal, post it.) I hope
this lasts a while.

Even if you just sent one roll or two, the minimum charge is $10.
That is cheaper than you can get from A&I with 1 roll when you
figure in postage. I sent 120 E-6 to Denver Digital and A&I both
the same time from the same post office and have had the Denver
Digital film for 4 days now and have yet to get the film back
from A&I .

I'm pretty sure I pay less than that per roll at the lab I use.

Manhattan Color Labs
4 West 20th Street
New York, NY (don't know the zip)
212-807-7373

They don't charge for push or pull processing. 120 slides come back
sleeved and uncut (rolled in a 4x4x4inch box).

I'm pretty sure they do mail order, but I don't know their shipping
rates. Depending on how many rolls you process at once the shipping
may push them higher.
