While walking through my Costco today, I stumbled
upon a "Portable LED Worklight" Since I'm _always_
thinking about slide viewers and ways to light them,
little ol' me had a light bulb go off over my head
and I grabbed one.

Now that I've had it apart, I'm stoked.
It includes a:
30-LED light panel
3-cell/3.6V battery pack
low battery indicator
battery charging circuit
two position rocker switch
co-axial power jack
12VDC power adapter
12VDC cigarette lighter plug.
and it set me back only $30.

Now I'm dreaming up ways to put that light
behind my slides. I'll let you know how it
turns out. In the meantime, get yourself to
your nearest Costco and see if you can score
one. If'n you can't, drop me a note off-list
and I'll go buy you as many as you like
($30+postage). Just let me know if you find
a great way to light your slides!

after spending too much time and effort wiring up my 3D slide art project
installation beasty - Geometric Primitive (www.myspace.com/
geometricprimitiv) with super bright LEDs, i discovered something similiar at
the local market.

Will be perfect size for the large vier and comes with base like a lap. Was 10£

Btw those LEDs by themselves are £1.20 each if you get them from Maplin.

Meanwhile i purchased a smaller version off ebay that runs on 3 'AAA's for
under 10$
