I just received the new 3D World lens shade and flat plate protector from
Dr. T.

Both fit my early model TL120 just fine. The lens shade snaps on over my
UV filters as well. I have not checked to see if there is any vignetting
yet. I hope to be able to do that this weekend.

The flat plate that 3D World is providing slides over the viewfinder
prism and not into the camera body over the ground glass. I was hoping it
was the opposite as I wanted to protect the ground glass when the
viewfinder was removed for transport in a bag. I guess I will just have
to make one myself.

Thanks,

I made one for my camera using one of my favorite hacking
materials . . Foamies

I cut a rectangle to friction fit in the finder opening. It
protrudes just a tiny bit on the back so I can grab it and
pull it off the camera.

I started by making one from sheet styrene but was unable to
devise a way to keep it in place during transport. The
foamie worked great.
