Subject: Interest in More MF3D archival sleeves?

Hi All,

I've had a few inquiries as of late on my archival MF3D slide sleeves.
To recap, these are sleeves that I have specially designed using the
finest archival quality, optically clear material available. They slip
over Spicer-style 80x132mm cardboard mounts or "Sam Smith" style
80x140mm 3DWorld mounts. You view the images THROUGH the sleeves with
no perceptible loss of quality. Not only do they protect your images
from dust, fingerprints and scratches, but they also prevent the
mounts from accidentally coming apart. They are NOT made for Q-Vue
mounts however, as those mounts are too flimsy for the slim fitting
sleeves.

Unlike many mounts and some adhesives, these ARE archival and will not
harm your image.

I can do a run ONLY if there's enough interest, so please contact me
OFFLIST if interested.

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, the Canadian Dollar has skyrocketed
lately and is worth MORE than both the US Dollar and Australian
Dollar. As a Canadian Exporter this sucks, but it is a real bonus to
my fellow Canadians! Therefore I expect the price to be about $33
Canadian per 100 plus shipping.

Again, contact me offlist if interested.

Thanks,

Sam Smith

Sam or anyone interested in archival sleeves,

I have some archival sleeves that were specially made to the specifications of the 80x132 Spicer mounts. They work for the 80x140 3DWorld mounts but are obviously a bit short on each end when centered. I never tried them on a Q-Vue mount, but I think they would still work okay. If you, or anyone, would like a sample, please send me your address, and I’ll mail a free sample. If they meet your requirements, I can sell them for a fraction over my cost at $15 per 100 plus the actual cost of shipping. I currently have about 5,000. I brought a few hundred with me to the convention and sold most of them to one individual. I guess you did not have a chance to see them or to evaluate them, but I think you will be very pleased with them.

Thanks,

Glen Johnson

Glen,

I am happy to hear that some MF3D sleeves are currently available. Can
you please however clarify the design of the sleeve you are selling?

There was a sleeve being sold a few years back that was a foldover
design with a textured rather than optically clear surface and a flap
along the edge. Holding it up to your eye would reveal the diffusion.

The design I use is a single seamless piece with optically clear
material. It is considerably more expensive to produce, hence the
higher price.

Several people have asked offlist as to which style you are selling.

Thanks,

Sam
