Subject: Stereo photography help in Houston areaDate: 2007-11-15 12:48:23From: saturnscope
This is slightly off topic but I know that some Houston people are
on this list, and this is a very safe list to post on.
I've been contacted by a historical museum in Galveston County that
would like to add a stereo photography exhibit to their activities.
It would be Holmes style print type with antique style stereoscopes
most likely. Probably some taking of new photos and showing antique
stereoviews.
They contacted me (I'm in the DFW area) because they saw my work and
interactive exhibit at the League City one room schoolhouse museum
run by my Brother and Sister in Law.
I did this exhibit in the early 1990's and just can't find any time
to handle it from the DFW area nowdays.
So if there is someone in the Houston area that would like to talk
to them to see what they want to do it would be nice. It can be a
lot of fun, but you won't get rich from it. Maybe break even. But
it is very satisfying to work with these museums and maybe show some
of your work.
Here is what they wrote me:
"Our museum is updating some exhibits and working to add more
interactive components. I thought that it would be nice to have a
stereograph visitors can use in the exhibit. What types to you make?
What are the costs? Do you also make reproduction stereograph cards
to use with them?"
Please contact me directly at 3-d@sbcglobal.net for the contact info.
Thanks.
