Subject: TL120 lens hood

Today was the first time I had tried actually using the
3D-World one-piece lens hood.

Because of the way it fits in the lenses, I found it almost
impossible to turn the focus rings with the hood installed.
Anyone else notice this?

Hi John,
I found the same thing, when I first got my camera. I also
found that pairs shot with the lens hood on ( done by removing the hood
to focus and then re-attaching ) were actually toed-in! I told 3D World
about this problem, and unbelievably they said it couldn't happen.
Well, call me stupid or call me a liar!* I haven't used it since,
prefering to put on 2 or 3 rubber lens hoods instead.

Have you had your monolithic block made up yet?

Happy MF3Ding :) Peter

I did a few shots with my usual hoods, but finished the roll
with the 3D World hood. I'll see how they turn out, but I
suspect I'll be sticking with my usual set :)

I'm slower than you, Peter, but they are in progress. They
probably won't be done until some time next month :(
