Dear MF3D,

I called one dealer prior to ordering some mounts and they said their supplier was running very slow.  They expected some "shortly" about 3 weeks ago when I made a large order.

I have not yet received mine, but fortunately, I have a large supply of my own on hand for mounting.

I wonder if these mounts are made in China, and if the upcoming Olympics are interfering with the production, or if the falling dollar has made some difference in access to supplies?

My previous dealings with the supplier I used have been very good.  I suspect that if he does not come through, he will make some kind of adjustment.  However, I am not shy about buying from anyone if the price (and quality) is right!

There are only three places I know of to get cardboard MF3D mounts, Steve Berezin - www.berezin.com/3d  , Rocky Mountain Memories -  www.rmm3d.com , 3D Stereo- www.3dstereo.com and Q-Vue http://www.brawleyonline.com/~quellen/qvu.html .

Maybe there are others, and I apologize if I have left anyone out of my list here.

RMM was out of the 55mm square 3d mounts, but had other smaller (masked) sizes for 120, last time I checked.  I have lots of Q-Vues for stereocards, but I don't have any of their 120 stereo mounts, so I can't comment on quality, but their Q-Vue stereocard mounts are very nice.  The 120 MF3D mounts from Berezin and 3D Stereo were very close in quality, if I recall, and I have lots of both from an earlier order in my stash.  Even though I might be tempted to share, sorry, I'm not selling!

Prices for these mounts at each distributor are generally comparable, if I recall.  Everyone else has plastic (which are also fine in their own right) IMHO.

I hope we can get a supply of cardboard mounts flowing again!

Any Problems with ordering Cardboard Mounts?

Hi All,

I have heard of at least one customer who appears to have ordered
cardboard mounts from a prominent 3D dealer and has not received them
after 5 months (prepaid).

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there another current
reliable source that someone here has used recently?

Thanks,

Sam
