No catch. These are the highest quality optically clear sleeves ever
made for medium format stereo slides. I am no longer making them,
however I recently discovered a package of 100.

Here's the deal: If you need some, email me your shipping address
offlist. I know there were some people in desperate need over the last
year and a half but I didn't keep the emails. If one person needs them
he gets 100, if 100 people ask they get one each. If you ask dumb
questions, you get zilch.

Email me offlist with your address.

Thanks,

Sam Smith

That's a deal! Isn't Canadian zilch worth more than U.S. zilch?

:-)

Since you are giving them away can I assume you no longer use them for
your images - have you found some other way to protect them?

Thanks,

I was only kidding about the 100 people getting one, however after the
big response I better lock it up for the people that already
responded. Anyone after this email was snoozing!

Incidentally, I am not getting out of 3D. It just seemed others here
were taking more pictures than me, so I'd rather have those who could
use them take them. I had polled prior and there was not enough
interest for a 2000 sleeve run. If I can't sell them, might as well
give them away!

Sam

Subject: David Lee Stereo Prints in Yosemite Auction
Date: 2008-08-20 22:56:23
From: David Lee
Yosemite Renaissance is an organization in Yosemite which sponsors art exhibitions and artists-in-residence. They are in the process of conducting an auction of artwork donated from previous artists-in residence and exhibitors in order to expand the artist-in-residence program. I have donated 2 stereo prints (20x26, framed, along with a large format viewer) and one infrared panorama (24x30, framed). They can be seen on their website at
http://www.yosemiterenaissance.org/ACDSeeYRAuction%202008/pages/thumbnail/thumbnailpage14.html
and
http://www.yosemiterenaissance.org/ACDSeeYRAuction%202008/pages/thumbnail/thumbnailpage15.html

or you can go to their main page at
http://www.yosemiterenaissance.org/index.html

The pieces will also be up at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite on August 27 and 28, with a closing reception from 6 to 8pm on the 28th.

I certainly don't expect any of you to rush over to Yosemite for this event, but if you happen to be there, I will see you there.

Damn... Awesomely beautiful photographs. I hiked to the top of Half
Dome at the end of July, with all of the smoke from Mariposa county
flooding the valley. I can verify, for numerous reasons, that Half
Dome didn't look like your photo.

Good luck on the auction.

Thanks Edwin.
By the way, as of now, there have been no bids on the stereo prints. The highest bidder on both of the prints will also receive a Hyper-View large format viewer at no extra cost. I'm hoping that when people see the images in the gallery they will be inspired to bid. The Ansel Adams Gallery carried some of my prints for a year or so, but they never put them out where the public could see them and consequently only sold one (for $500). Because they weren't selling they asked me to come and get them. :-(
