As strange as it may seem, I'm looking for a Sputnik camera
body with working film advance and operational doors. I
don't need lenses, shutters or view finder. It doesn't need
to be painted or flocked. I could probably even use a
chipped or cracked body if that's what you have available.

Drop me a note off-list if you have one to spare.

Are you planning to make a mold of it for a scratch-built MF camera ?

Interesting idea!

No, but I am looking for a working film advance for a one-off camera
experiment.

As much as I love my TL120-55, it failed to make the weight budget for a
recent backpacking trip. I really wanted it but it was just too heavy.
So I'm looking for a way to make the dead-simplist point and shoot 55mm
camera. No finder, no meter, no focus . . . i thought a Sputnik might be
a place to start.

The one regret I have about the 3D World MF camera is that they did
not follow through with their non-reflex prototype, which appeared to
be smaller and lighter. Reflex is nice to have, but the extra weigth
and mass on an MF camera can be a serious shortcoming.
