Subject: Sputnik -- shutter blades stick open on small apertureDate: 2008-08-27 01:18:48From: amuderick
I am working on another Sputnik camera. I have a problem where the
shutter blades stick open at aperture settings smaller than f/22. As
on my other camera, I have measured the correct marking for f/32.
However, at this setting the shutter blades just won't close. They
hang open until I move the aperture back to f/22.
Also, this camera doesn't allow me to move the aperture freely when
the shutter is open on bulb. At one point in the range of motion
there is sticking. Slight pressure results in a 'pop' and the
aperture passes the restriction.
I can't get under the shutter to see what is going on. Ideas? Anyone
with experience on how I might fix these problems?
Thank you!
