Subject: Cardboard mounts with lighted viewer?

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of the new lighted viewers from 3D World,
but I'm wondering if I'll be able to view slides mounted in the traditional cardboard mounts in
this viewer. I think I recall reading that these might not be compatible. Cardboard mounted
views work well in the previous 3D World viewer as long as they're in a plastic sleeve. Will
the same trick work with the new viewer? I hope so, as I still have a great viewer that only
fits the cardboard mounts, and several hundred cardboard mounts still waiting to be used.

They physically fit the same, Jim.

In the new viewer, it is important that the 80x132 mounts be
elevated to place their image-center in line with the center
of the illuminator and lenses. The illuminator is edge-lit
from below. If not elevated, the bottom edge of your 80x132
slides will have a brighter stripe.

The new 3D World MF viewer feature great
dual mount ability, working nicely
with my cardboard mounts and the plastic
mounts. I love my Saturn Viewer, but
one thing I like more in the 3D World Viewer
is the cool LED lighting compared to the
warm florescent lighting in the Saturn Viewer.

The new viewer is reasonably priced and I
think everyone into MF Stereo hobby should
have one.

Cheers,
Philip
