Subject: slide storage options

While I'm waiting for my illuminated viewer to arrive (along with
the power supply to replace the one I blew up), I've written up a
few notes on things I've tried while finding a way to store my
slides.

It has some pictures of different boxes I've tried, and closes
with a discussion of Peter Thomson's "3D Treasures" boxes. An
excerpt from the page:

If there are other storage options you think I should explore,
I'm open to suggestions!

Have you tried Light Impressions
(http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/index.action)? They have
archival boxes of different sizes and materials. I think I'm using
one for 4x5 images that is a little tall but works ok. I shoot
panoramic images as well as stereo and I have the same problem with
finding storage there. I recently built my own boxes of various sizes
and decorated them as I wanted. Take a look at Hollander's
http://www.hollanders.com/ for supplies. They also have some simple
kits that show you how to make a hinged clam shell box - this is what
I used as my model.
