Subject: Updates to 3Dworld TL120?

Hi

It maybe just me, but the need to look at the advancing film is really
really annoying.

If its mounted on a tripod shooting low you basically need to be on
the floor to see the film advance.

I also shoot in less that hospitable environments where time and light
aren't on my side. So to diddle around with stoping, getting a light
then winding carefully forward is somewhat of a pain-in-the-ass.

So is there a list of improvements for a new version?

Just yesterday I was thinking about automatic film advance
for the TL120-1. I came to the conclusion that would be a
lot of work and extra complexity to fit a Relleicord-style
film advance to the TL120. I don't think we'll see it any
time soon. The film advance on the TL120 is rather dated but
it's better than a Sputnik!

The other alternative is to fit an auto-winder advance which
may actually be easier than a mechanical auto-stop. That
would require redesigning the camera to house larger
batteries and would interfere with the ability to advance
half a pair to shoot slide-bar hypers.

The red-window advance isn't my favorite. But I gave up
advancing film with the camera on a tripod when I got my
Sputnik. Even when shooting with the TL120 three feet off
the ground I use a quick release plate. I pull the camera,
advance the film and drop it back on the tripod.

But you have certainly put forth your requested improvement
for the next version of the camera and I wouldn't object if
it were implemented. Do you have others?
