I must now admit that I'm not going to make it to this
year's NSA convention in Mesa, Arizona. It will fit in
neither my time nor dollar budget :(

It did, however, have my TL120 out this weekend and found
the experience refreshing. Should any of y'all be passing
through Juneau this summer, bring your rain coat, some
walking shoes and drop me a note :)

Neither Mesa nor Juneau will fit MY time nor dollar budget this year.
In fact, if I really followed my current budget, I'd be limited to a couple trips to the corner store. ;-)

Too bad I didn't know you in 2003 when I was in Juneau prior to a trip down the Alsek/Tatshenshini.
Someday I hope to make it back there.   Beautiful area !

I won't be there either. I'm sure Mesa has incredible potential for the MF3Der, but I think the NSA needs to rethink their strategy to only host conventions in July. Mesa in October or February would appeal to me more than July.

Alaska on the other hand is totally a different story, as it's gorgeous in July. Is Juneau a possible contender for future NSA conventions?

The stock answer is, "The convention can be held anywhere."
In practical terms, I don't think it would be a good choice.
Only one airline serves us. June (and maybe July) is the
best month and hotel rooms are in _very_ short supply.

But if anyone wants to schedule themselves into Juneau, I'm
more than happy to show ya' around!
