Hi

Is there a wish list for new features?

I for one want to be able to wind film without looking at the window. Also a light iluminator on the level would be good as I shoot in dark hostile environments.

Cheers

First and foremost I want the $%^#% shutter cocking mechanism decoupled from the film winding. As it stands I find this camera to be much more of a hassle to use than my trusty old Sputnik. It's extremely easy to accidentally fire the shutter after winding, especially when using a cable release. I now wait until just before shooting to advance the film, which means spontaneous shots are out of the question. I've also had a few occasions when the shutter decided to trip itself in the middle of winding the film, ruining the previous exposure. It would also be nice to be able to experiment with double exposures which is also currently impossible. This is a completely manual camera - why do I need to have my shutter automatically cocked for me?

I would also like to see a PC socket for a second flash.

Having used a Yashica-Mat 124 for years I can see the advantage of having the winding automatically stop, but it's also one more complicated system to break. If I don't have to worry about accidental shutter firing I'm happy to keep the winding manual.

I think the biggest single improvement that could be made is to
incorporate a shutter-lock. If I could carry the camera around
with a cocked shutter, and _know_ that I couldn't accidentally
fire it, it wouldn't mind the coupled film-advance/shutter-cock.

If I could flip the lock after exposing my film and before
advancing and cocking the shutter, then I'd be happy.

It doesn't solve the desire of others to double expose, but it
would be a whole lot easier to incorporate a shutter lock than a
shutter charging lever.

Yeah, I don't understand why a connector isn't provided.

With manual advance, I can do slide-bar hyper/hypo images even
with the coupling of the film advance and shutter cock. It might
become impossible with automated film advance.

I like the trend of wanting features to be more and more
like my Sputnik. Figure if I wait long enough, at some point
I'll be offered an even trade of a TL120 for my Sputnik
(for which I'd probably reluctantly accept).

Jim Harp, I have forwarded your comments to 3D World.

If anyone else has any suggestions for improvements, I can sent these along
too.

One problem I have is that the eye cup keeps falling off.  Maybe this has already been remedied on the newer versions.

I'd like wider angle lenses. Even better - interchangeable lenses.

It would be nice to be able to wind to the next exposure without having to look. I've been in many situations where it was more convenient to set up the camera for a shot once, but a pain to get into a position to read the numbers in the window after each exposure. I do a lot of night photography, and  sometimes need a flashlight to see where I am on the film. A definite film advance would be great. But I can imagine that would be a major redesign.

On the simpler side, I would love the ability to double-expose.
