Subject: Sputnik Viewfinder?

Hello.

I am interested in adding a viewfinder to my Sputnik. I have heard that some people have successfully attached a viewfinder from an old Polaroid Camera. Does anyone have any experience with that, or know of someone who provides that service?

Any other suggestions of other viewfinders are also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I call mine a Lopp Finder, as it was built for me by Don Lopp.
Take a look at:
http://www.alaska.net/~thurston/images/Sputnik.JPG

That thing on the right is my finder. It has a wooden base which
slips over the folded-down Sputnik finder It is a bright-line
finder. Don disassembled it and inserted a new mask with framing
lines suitable for a Spud.

Somewhere around here, I have another Polaroid finder from an
ebay purchase (I bought the camera for the finder). Its a
bright-line with a rangefinder. I had planned on making myself a
fancier Lopp Finder, along the lines of one by Alan Lewis seen on
his pages at: http://www.seriousviewers.com/projects/mfcam2/mfcam.htm
I haven't yet found the time to do so.

Is that enough to get you started?

I just taped a Bronica prism to mine.
