Hi

Is there such a thing? I would really like to keep a sample set of slides with me and the viewer is somewhat bulky.

What about the 3D World folding viewer:

http://www.3dworld.cn/en/ProductDetails.aspx?productId=26

It can view prints or slides. You can get it directly from China or
through USA stereo resellers such as:

3DStereo: http://www.3dstereo.com/viewmaster/mf-fold.html

Dr.T-3D: http://home.att.net/~drt-3d/catalog/index.htm (don't see this
item on his site, but I know he carries the full 3D World line.

Berezin 3D: http://www.berezin.com/3d/ (again don't see it on his site,
but sure he carries or can get it).

I have see people modify the Squeeze-Vue type viewers also.

Hope that helps,

Speaking of Medium Format viewers - what is the current state of the 3D
World lighted viewer? I do not see any listed on the 3D World site and US
resellers are still showing the old one. There was some brief posts about
the new new one, then nothing.

Thanks,

What new one? The viewer was redesigned slightly and this is how it looks
and works (last link above).

Hello George,

The one you link to looks just like the first production run. Any images
of the one from this new production run? Also, I thought there was talk
about further improvements, but could be mistaken.

Lastly, any idea why there is no mention of this viewer on the 3D World
site?

Hi

I had two of the fold open ones and got rid of them as I didn't like the dust showing up on the prints.

Didnt' seem to take the slides. They do now?

They always did, with some care.

It looks exactly the same, as shown in the pictures. The only external
difference is that in the original viewer you could unscrew the lens from
the outside, in this one you cannot. The focusing range is also slightly
different in the redesigned viewer. I don't think they plan any changes. I
just ordered another batch of viewers so I will get what they are making
now, which I am sure is the same as the last viewers that I sold.

Kudos to these esteemed members of our hobby for their contributions to
the current issue of Stereoscopy, issue 77.

Davids work in HDR is stunning.... David, if you have those junk yard
images available for sale, please advise, they looked superb even in the
tiny format. I fully agree HDR holds tremendous potential in stereo...

John H and Jerry O, WOW.... stunning digital work.... the best I have
seen.... Jerry, how do you display your work? Do you have a preferred
viewing apparatus?

It's great to see our fellow hobbiest push the envelope.... for those
who don't subscribe, I recommend you buy this issue, just for the
uniqueness of the stereo pairs!
