Is it possible to have a TL-120 repaired in America or do I have to send it back to China ? Anyone had to deal with having a TL-120 repaired in the past ?

The shutter speeds on my 2006 model are erratic at best and the left side won't sync with the right side half the time. This problem came progressively until the camera being now totally unusable.

Just a silly quick question: Have you changed the battery?

Yes I have. I also have a second TL-120 (in good working condition) which helped to do some A-B testing.

I wish it was the battery...

Is the camera still under warranty?  If it is, it makes sense to return it to China to fix.  If not, I guess any repair facility might attempt to fix it but sending it back to China would be the best.

I had some issues with my TL-120 and eventually sent it to China for repair.
There was no charge other than the cost of shipping both ways, which I believe
was $80 to and $60 back. It was an unbelievably positive experience for me. I
haven't experienced this type of customer care since Apple at its best. My
camera was gone for 8 days (I sent it out on a Monday and had it back the
following week Tuesday). The $140 was cheaper than what my camera tech would
have charged me, and I doubt he would have had it back to me as quickly.

I don't have the contact info on hand, but I could send it later tonight. Or
you could contact the seller, who should be able to put you in touch.

And for the record, my camera was no longer under warranty when they performed
this service.

I agree with Bob, the service from this company is as good as any I've ever experienced.
