Subject: simple 80mm frame pocket viewfinder?

I'm still not so used to the 80mm FL when trying to decide on shot setups.

I feel like I need one of those cliche Movie director lens around my neck to spot and set up shots - before I climb around, unpack and setup everything.

I climbed this steep, slippery slope for "a perfect shot" only to be totally compromised because of the smaller frame. It was just too hazardous to try and take my gear further up the slope for a better view. I can't consider a 50mm lens setup quite yet (but I did just buy a better pair of outlet-priced climbing shoes!)

Anyone here use a quickie, foldable, or cheapo method to get an idea for framing?

Back in the old days, photographers using press cameras would mount a rectangular wire frame to the front of the camera, and a post on the back.   The frame would be sized to match the field of a particular focal length lens, and the post would have a series of holes drilled in it, marked with footage (or meter) distances.

Now, a cheap "snapshot" type digital camera can be mounted on a larger film camera, and the viewscreen marked to correspond to different focal lengths as per the field of view in the film camera.
