Subject: TL-120 lens testDate: 2011-04-30 19:19:45From: Bob Venezia
At the suggestion of Don Lopp, I shot some resolution charts in my
backyard. Don was concerned that I might not be getting the sharpest
image I could get because I almost always shoot at f22, and some
lenses will lose sharpness at the smallest apertures due to diffraction.
(btw, Don wasn't worried about the sharpness by looking at my images.
The images are terrifically sharp. He just wondered if I was leaving
some sharpness on the table, as it were.)
I'm happy to report that the TL-120 gets sharper at the smallest
apertures. I checked with a strong loupe, and the images got
progressively better as I stopped down the lens.
cheers,
