Subject: More on dupingDate: 2011-09-20 22:27:11From: John Thurston
I spent some time between January and May working on
duplicating some slides using a scan/film-recorder process.
The results were all over the place and I decided it wasn't
worth pursuing further.
While I was at the NSA convention, I had a conversation with
David Lee wherein he convinced me to try again. I don't think
he was trying to do so, but he did convince me that I could
do better. So I went home, bought new software and color
calibration targets. I spent more time and effort on the
source material, studied Gamma Tech's pages some more, and
sent a couple more images in last week.
The results of my latest effort are still not perfect, but
they are significantly superior to what I had earlier this
year. The colors are a better match, and much of the
previously missing detail is present.
I am once again encouraged.
