Subject: Immersion MFG viewer

In my previous post I neglected to mention that at least one of ,the so
called 'modern' lenses on the Mamiya 7 camera, was based on a Zeiss lens
first sold on a Hassleblad camera in 1954, obvioualy designed prior to
1954. The lens is the, WA, Mamiya lens, 43mm fl. So much for the
adoration for the modern lens, as compared to the lenses of
'yesteryear'. The Zeiss lens was the 38mm Biogon, circa 1954

With completely different performance characteristics. Modern Fords are very similar to
the Model T, 4 wheels, front engine, drive train, not much has changed in that field,
either, same concept, same formula..
