Subject: Prime Film 120 (Pacific Image) supporting software

If anyone has disregarded my previous advice and purchased a
Prime Film 120 scanner, this is of interest to you.
Otherwise, I still advise staying away from this scanner.

I have just heard from Ed Hamrik that version 9.0.63 of
VueScan should now support the scanner.

If I had been able to get a scanner that would power on, I
would be grabbing that software ASAP as it would be a huge
improvement over the software included in the scanner.

I've used Vuescan for nearly fifteen years now.

In fact, whenever I get new scanners I rarely (if ever) bother to install the software that comes with them...

Ed has followed up with a side-note that the scanner he
received directly from Pacific Image ran just long enough
for him to extend VueScan. Now it's a brick.

I _still_ advise against this scanner!
