Subject: Protective sleeves for your slides - do you want some?Date: 2011-12-05 19:16:03From: John Thurston
Back in the fall of 2010, I had some clear protective
sleeves made. They were suitable for use on 80x132
(cardboard) and 80x140 (plastic) mounts. I've received a few
inquiries this year for more. The answer is "I don't have any".
How much interest is there in a new production-run?
I forget the exact numbers. I _think_ I had to get about
quantity=3,000 before they became cost effective. Even then,
they weren't cheap. When I did this in 2010, 100 sold for
$40, 500 were $180, and 1,000 were almost $300. I did that
run on a cost-recovery basis, and I'd do the same for this one.
Cast your vote. Let me know off-list if you are interested
in some sleeves. This is not a commitment for you to
purchase. This is "Yeah. I'd probably buy 200 of 'em" sort
of comment.
If you want a couple samples of what the product is, drop me
a note with your mailing address.
