Hi fellow MF3d enthusiasts,

I'm preparing to bring a bunch of MF3d to convention, but of course, I'm behind schedule, and (surprise!) low on supplies!

I know people have asked in the past about where to get MF3d mounts... what is the situation at present?  Has anyone got any black or white full frame mounts they can sell to me??  Desperately in need...  I hadn't realized how few mounts I had, or I've been shooting more MF3d this spring than at any other time in my career!  Ultimately, I could use several hundred...

I used to carry my MF3d slides in notebooks with sleeve/pages.  I think this year I'd like to try transporting slides in boxes.  Two years ago I saw that David Lee was using some very nice plastic, apparently water tight filecard boxes to hold his slides (maybe 20 per box).  Does anyone know what kind of box that is and where to get it?

that's all for now...

Many thanks for any tips!

Boris

Dalia's site claims to have full frame cardboard mounts

http://www.3dstereo.com/viewmaster/cmf-5x5.html

They also show other mounts listed here:

Some folks (I'm particularly thinking of Chuck) have had a bad experience ordering items that were out of stock. I strongly recommend you contact by phone to assess availability and when they would ship.

I think these are the boxes that David uses:

I look forward to seeing you in costa mesa!

If Dalia has 'em, I strongly suggest you call her up and buy
'em. If she doesn't, and you don't want to mount in 80x140
plastic, shoot me a note off-list and I'll tell you what I
can spare from my inventory.

Yes. Them's the stuff.
When I was in Colorado last year (with a car!), I bought a
stack of 'em. I think they are available at both OfficeMax
and Office Depot. They come in different colors as well as
fully opaque black. The 1.6l box will hold my slides on edge
so I can flip through them.

Be aware that they are water resistant due to their plastic
construction and overlapping edges. I would not consider them
water proof. Living in a rainforest, I care about the
difference. You may not. If you are after waterproof boxes
which can hold slides, look at the ClickClack product.

They are double the cost but are waterproof. The .95l box
holds my slides horizontally. I have to tip the stack out and
stand them up leaf through them.

If you are after cardboard, I have a stack of Peter Thomson's
"3D Treasures" boxes which I can sell you. They work
perfectly for 10 un-sleeved mounts, but not so well with sleeves.

The Click Clack boxes seem to be a little harder to find than the Really Useful Boxes (at Office Depot and Office Max), so I thought I would share this link for a source in the US for the Click Clacks:

Awesome! Last time I checked I was unable to find an online
seller of ClickClack products :)

Note that the 2 quart size shows up initially with this link, but multiple sizes are listed and it is the 1 quart (0.9L) size that John mentioned using for MF slides-Linda.
