Subject: Sleeves for 80x140 plastic mounts

Folks,
In anticipation of receiving my TL120s I'm getting the other bits together. I see Dr. T sells plastic mounts 80x140x2 mm with self-adhesive strips to hold chips. But I'd welcome anyone's thoughts on mounts, esp. for the newbie!
The other critical thing are the sleeves. After sitting in on the folio viewing and seeing the astounding images at 3D con last week, I realized the sleeves play a big part in preserving the slides from damage.
I saw mention of seemless sleeves in an earlier post, and wonder what the current mode is and where to get sleeves that won't foul in the 3d world viewer.

Unless you're going to roll your own, I think I am currently
the source for the sleeves.

I've done two runs (see the MF3D archives for dates and
details) and have 200 left I can sell. After that, I can
refer you (with their permission) to others who bought large
blocks of sleeves who may be willing to sell some of their
stock. After that, you'll have to roll your own or wait until
someone (like me) hears sufficient interest to do another run.

John,
Sounds like a plan. Are these seamless (not sure if it matters)? How much do these run?

Yes. These are the "seamless" variety. This means no seam to
split and no flaps to catch in the viewer.

The cost of the sleeves at different quantities are in the
archived messages. For ready reference (and since I have only
200 remaining) they are:
100 $41.97
200 $77.99
This cost includes postage in the US. If I'm already mailing
something to you (or you are collecting in person), you may
deduct $5 from each of those prices.

As mentioned in previous messages, the odd costs are a
consequence of spreadsheet calculations based on my costs. If
I tried to turn a profit on these things, no one would be
able to afford them!

I have some notes regarding mounts:

I don't encourage the use of the adhesive provided in the
3D-World mounts. Others use it without problem, but I ignore
it and use mylar tape instead.

O.k., thanks for the link! I was wondering about the adhesive strips all right...

I do use the adhesive strips. I find them to be very handy, the way I align my slides (in my home made jig). I get very frustrated with handling mylar tape strips.
