Subject: Are the Tl-120-1 cameras still in production?

  Hello fellow medium 3D fans,
In all this discussion of various viewers, my question is one of, are the cameras still in prodiction? And/or can new 45 degree view- finders be had alone, not with whole camera purchase? My viewfinder had its final optic come out of place with the softest of efforts to clean the lens. No email to the address has gained any return.
What is the state of the production facility and the assorted sub-systems?
  Thanks for your efforts,
   David.

The TL120 is out of production, with no hope of restarting. Dr-T may have better information as to whether repairs are still being done. You may want to start looking for a local camera repair man.

Nope

Nope
Your best solution is to get a hasselblad or Kiev finder and use that.
It slips right on. The only thing you wont have is the built-in camera
meter.

Gone.

Arsenal (Kiev) makes a metered prism. It won't work on a TL-120?

As far as I know, 3D World still services the camera.

Contact me off line if you want me to bring you in touch with the company
for repairs.

Certainly it will. Any prism containing its own meter will work
perfectly. The issue is that only the appropriate 3D-World prism will
permit the _in camera_ meter to work.

I have seen at least three different versions of the prism/meter
combination in the Tl120 cameras. The meter circuit inside the TL120
will not work without the correct prism being attached to the camera.
Without the correct prism, the lights will light but the display will be
meaningless.

I've found my early version TL-120 meter to be too center-weighted, or something, to be reliable or useful to me. I just use my trusty, retro Gossen Selenium....(and, before you laugh, I've won competitions w/ shots metered with it).

Who's laughing? I still use my Weston from time to time.
Though I have to admit that my battery-powered Sekonic L208 sees more
use than the Weston. It weighs less and retains its needle setting for a
few seconds.
