Subject: TL-120 vs Sputnik Lens ResolutionDate: 2012-11-02 09:32:44From: swenson_rick
Has anyone tested TL-120 and Sputnik lenses for resolution? I would like to hear results to compare the lines per millimeter resolved on film between the two cameras using standard test charts.
Years ago, I had brief use of a Lubitel 166 twin lens camera and it was very soft in the corners with the lens wide open. I understand that the Lubitel has the same or very similar lenses as the Sputnik. I'm not so concerned about full aperture performance, but what about a comparison of apertures between the two cameras around f/8, f/11, f/16, and f/22 where a lot of the work is done? How do the two cameras compare?
BTW, I own a set of National Bureau of Standards 1952 test targets. I may have to find a TL-120 and a Sputnik to test for myself.
Thanks,
Rick
