What shoulder bags do people recommend for a Heidoscop for travel that would protect it but also not be too large?
John
Thanks JR for the eye comments. I will need to find out about my situation. I had an operation but that was in the early 60s and have done nothing since.

Hi John,

The approximate dimensions of the Heydascope are 8" x 7" x 3 1/2". I would go to Best Buy or a good camera store and buy a camera bag big enough for the viewer and your film, and mounts. Consider the viewer about as big as a good-sized pair of binoculars.

Kind regards,

Larry

Ahh. This is a tough subject and we'd need to know much more to make a
useful recommendation.

What is 'travel'? Taking the train to New York? Climbing Everest?
Walking the railings at Yellowstone?

Is this a 'shooting' bag, carrying just your camera and a couple rolls
of film? Does it also need to function as a day pack?

Is this a 'transport' bag, getting the camera safely from A-B where you
will remove it from the bag, hang it around your neck, put two rolls of
film in your pocket, and leave the bag behind?

I assume we are talking about a roll-back Heidoscope :)

My goal is to carry a rollback Heidoscop with flip up lens caps on walking trips through cities in Europe, narrow hilling places, sometimes climbing up somewhat steep hills to abandoned castles. I am thinking minimal, only camera and film, assuming that works, and I am not missing anything.  I often put other cameras like an automatic Rolleiflex in soft thick bags within my knapsack while walking, but am thinking that the Heidoscop is to big to be treated in this way. So people might have better solutions, but I was thinking that I needed a smallish shoulder bag. What have others found?

Wow, I just realized I'm the one who confused the camera with the viewer. Whoa. That's serious.
