Hi,

I have come to the conclusion that, if I was in in control of
designing the TL 120, it would have been a 6x4.5 format camera with
Fuji 45mm fl lenses. This is based on looking at some Fuji 45mm fl
camera shots that I reviewed recently, in my WA viewer. A lighter
camera, more sharp hots per roll of film. The only downside is that it
would have not fit in with the many Sputnik users.

Just my conclusion,

DON

Which Fuji lenses might you be looking at? Do they have any
inherent focusing provision?

The Mamiya 55mm lenses (from the C220/C330 TLR) on my
TL120-55 aren't bad, but are long out of production and have
no provision for focusing. They would need to be attached to
a movable board if focusing was wanted.

Hi John,

I was speaking of the past, like some ten+  years ago, as I did try twinning a pair of Fuji 6 x 4.5 cameras, which had 45mm lenses, they were 1 % diff in fl.  I tried two more cameras camera, but none of the 4 Fuji cameras came close to matching  fl , so I gave up on the project.  Have you noticed how sharp the MF slides of Mr steinman are, he shoots Cha Cha, with a Fuji 6 x 4.5, with 45mm lenses..  They looked  terrific in my WA  MF viewer. No it is just a dream- too ate now.  The Fuji camera pair weighed 3 pounds. They had a super accurate  bright line VF and had 4 element lenses based on the B&L Metrogon lens, widely used in WW II, copied from Carl Zeiss.  I consider the Mamiya 55mm  f/4.5 as being plenty sharp enough for 3D shooters. Some of my best Mt Rainier shots were made with the  Mamiyaf/4.5, 55, mm  (7 element) lenses.

Regards,

DON
