Subject: CLA of Mamiya TLR 55 mm lens shutter mechanismDate: 2016-04-10 01:41:37From: gfpguy1
Hi,
I've a couple of reasonably matched 55mm Mamiya TLR lenses I'm planning on using for making hyperstereos. Both shutters run slow, one of them actuates only when the flash synch is set to X, stalls out and fails to trigger shutter on M unless cocking handle is coaxed. The other's shutter actuated reliably, but then the shutter trigger arm jammed when I inadvertently stopped the cocking lever after triggering the shutter release!
I had opened a third lens in the process of beginning conversion of a TL120 to 55 mm (got John's last lens board for the conversion). That ones shutter failed to actuate in M setting unless the cocking arm was coaxed to completion after triggering the shutter actuation arm. I don't care about the clockwork on that lens as it's going to go into the TL-120/55 Suffice it to say, I think I'm going to need to send the pair of lenses in for adjustment/unjamming, etc of the shutter mechanisms.
Can anyone suggest a reliable mail-in classic camera repair service?
Thanks in advance!
