So, who from this group will be attending the convention next month in Tulsa? I have made last minute plans to go. Who else? Online schedule info is still pretty sketchy.

Will there be any MF folios there for viewing sessions? I assume that there will be a SIG (Special Interest Group) meeting and/or workshop(s) or similar re MF3D. I was not able to attend in 2015, so don't know what happened last year.

The convention registration page does not have the usual list of registered attendees this year. They took it down and may or may not be putting it back up. They were having trouble keeping up with last minute registrations, which I guess is a good sign in terms of attendance. -Linda

I'll not be attending. Transportation cost, family obligations, etc . . .
I'm looking at my schedule for next year, though. Flying straight down the coast to California is quite a bit easier for me than getting to Oklahoma.

Folio-A is currently in Canada. That doesn't mean it can't be there, just that one of our Canadian friends would need to bring it. If it does, I'd like to try to arrange it so it doesn't then cross _back_ into Canada just to be mailed back to the US. Those cross-border transitions are the most risky for the box. The box is also larger than in the past, so it is less convenient to carry on a plane.

I was thinking of going this year, but it clashes with the AGM of another club that I'm Vice-Chairman of...

But I will certainly be there next year! As Secretary of the ISU I really do have to be there, plus it's going to be a really great gathering and then there's the total eclipe just a week later.

We're actually planning a six-week tour of the various National Parks in the South West. So hard to work out the ones that I MUST go to and the ones that I can miss :)

I can get the time off, but my funds are committed to a drumming retreat to Cuba in November.
Having said that, I'd be happy to drive the Folio (which I can augment for the trip) down to Tulsa
If folks want to chip in and send me gas money - and I'll need a couch to crash on once I'm there.
:)
I am planning on going to California next year, though.
I could bring the Folio with me then if we're in the same situation.  :)

Steven

The MF slide Folio is on it's way to me. I won't be in Tulsa but I can make sure I get it to Steven (who is next in the rotation) in time for him to take it there.

According to Bill Moll there is no MF3D SIG yet scheduled. From the early replies to my inquiry on this group, there may not be many MF folks there. I will bring a couple of lighted viewers and some of my own views. Are there any other folios out there, and/or MF3D folks who plan to come to Tulsa?

Steven, I have no sofa to offer, but if you do manage to arrange the trip I would be willing to chip in some gas money. 8-) You are in Toronto? -Linda
