Subject: MF3d room at NSA Cleveland

I propose a room dedicated to MF3d for the duration of the NSA conference.  Such a room would be a repository for MF3d content, be it private collections or some folios, where interested persons could come by anytime to view the slides and become familiar with our beloved format.  Of course we'd also have the cameras and viewers to demonstrate.  Much like some of the "museum" rooms seen in recent conventions, the MF3d room would be open most of the time, for passers by to come on in and have a look.

I would prefer this kind of dedicated room to the limited duration "viewing sessions" that we've had in the past, where a large number of people show up all at the same time, which can create an unmanageable and frightening amount of chaos.

My roommate John Thurston and I would offer up our own room for this purpose, unless someone else has a better idea?  Of course if you had slides to show in this room, you need not keep them there - but you could stop by to show them to others that might be there.  Or, if you want to maximize exposure, we'd keep your slides safe in the room, to be shown to others as they came along.  Or we could discuss other ideas.

Our goal would be to keep the room open for MF3d viewing for most of the waking hours of the convention.  I'm not sure that John and I could do that all by ourselves, without some help from other MF3d enthusiasts, to cover some times that we would like to be out of the room.  If you were interested in helping out, please let us know!

Let's talk about it!

PS
full disclosure, in case you don't already know: I trade/sell MF3d slides, so there is some self-interest involved here, as well.
