In late March of this year, I announced I'd have a new
version (V2) of the TL120-55 lens boards made. I wanted to
follow up so the archives had some details.
Six boards were made, and they have been sent to six
individuals in four countries.
Differences between V1 and V2 are small and few. The
recesses for the taking lenses are larger for reduced weight
and easier building. The relief on the front corners is
greater for improved appearance. The screw holes are more
deeply recessed for more thread engagement. Standoffs are
integrated rather than re-using those from the stock lens
board. There is sufficient metal to permit the fitting of
larger-diameter mounting screws (should the original tiny
screws strip out).
