Subject: Duplex Super 120 - advancing frames?

Hi

Can anyone with this camera point out / step by step how to advance the frames using its two windows to get max number of frames per roll?

I found an Italian manual only. First test roll I wasted 1/2 by only using one window. There's two. Does 120mm allow for 1/2 frame shooting?

I thought I had found a utube video on it but since misplaced.

Cheers

Advance the film so the number appears in the first window. Expose the
film. Advance the film so the _same_ number appears in the second
window. Expose the film. Advance the film so the _next_ number appears
in the first window. Now advance that number to the second window.

I'll say again. There is nothing 120mm about our 60mm-wide 120-format
film. _Nothing_

What do you mean, nothing, John?  120 mm is the width of a stereo pair taken in a Sputnik.  (Give or take.)  Which is obviously what this size film was designed for!

Of course, things do start getting weird if you refer to 220 film as "220 mm".

cheers - I had a suspicion that was it but wanted a confirmation.

will run a test roll through this week.

apparently the exposed frames on the 120 film situated vertically on top of each other are a good match for realist frame size and the same viewer can be used.
