Subject: Who is the owner/admin of this list (MF3D-group)?

I'm not sure who the current admin of this list is -- Sam? Linda? John? I tried sending an email to mf3d-group-owner@yahoogroups.com, but it doesn't seem like anyone can be reached at that address.

I am interested in creating a back up of the messages posted to this list. There is a tremendous wealth of information available on the various MF3D lists over the years. My goal is to consolidate the messages from the various sources and properly catalog them to create an easy to search archive. I think this could be incredibly valuable.

I have several questions:

(1) Does anyone know who is the administrator of this list (MF3D-group)? I have some questions for the admin that could greatly simplify the task of archiving the messages.

(2) Does anyone know who is a moderator or admin of the MF3D-forum group used between 2003 and 2006? I would like to be made a member, so that I can archive those messages, but it appears I need a mod to approve my request.

(3) There is an apparent gap  in the archives from 2001 (when the last message was posted on Marco Pauck's UNH list) to 2003 (when the first message is posted to MF3D-forum group.) If you are aware of any URL where the discussion may have continued during this time period, I may be able to reclaim some content using the the Internet Archive's Wayback machine (even if the link is no longer functioning.)

Thanks,

Hi, Ian. I am one of the mods of the current group, "MF3d-group". Sorry I did not reply to your earlier message. Paul Talbot is/was one of the mods the previous group (MF3D -forum) that went from 2003-2006, but I am not sure who else. I am not familiar with earlier groups. -Linda

Hi Linda,

Thanks so much for your reply. I reached out to Paul regarding the old list.

Would it be possible for me to be made into an admin of this group? There are some tools within the Yahoo Groups interface that allow the contents of the list to be backed up, and this would greatly simplify my task of archiving the messages. If this is not possible, perhaps you could contact me off-list and you could use the backup feature and send me the contents?

Thanks for your consideration,
Ian

Was Bob Wier the originator of this group or was he for the photo-3d group.  That part I don't remember.
